Trichloroethane (water) : An organic chemical used as a cleaning solvent that causes adverse health effects in domestic water supplies.
Greensand (water) : A mineral (glauconite) material that looks like ordinary filter sand except that it is green in color. Greensand is a natural ion exchange material which is capable of softening water. Greensand which has been treated with potassium permanganate (KMnO4) is called manganese greensand; this product is used to remove iron, manganese and hydrogen sulfide from groundwaters.
