ENERGY GRADE LINE (EGL) (water) : A line that represents the elevation of energy head (in feet) of water flowing in a pipe, conduit or channel. The line is drawn above the hydraulic grade line (gradient) a distance equal to the velocity head (V2/2g) of the water flowing at each section or point along the pipe or channel. Also see HYDRAULIC GRADE LINE.
Thermocline (water) : The middle layer in a thermally stratified lake or reservoir. In this layer there is a rapid decrease in temperature with depth. Also called the METALIMNION.
İTİBARİ KOT : Bir projenin kotlarının verilmesinde başlangıç kotu olarak seçilen değişmez bir noktanın kotu. Bu kot, seçilen herhangi bir rakamla gösterilir, öteki kotlar buna göre düzenlenir.
Stabilize yol: Yüzeyine kum, çakal, az miktarda kil karışım serilip sıkıştırılarak yapılan yol.
