Gage Pressure (water) : The pressure within a closed container or pipe as measured with a gage. In contrast, absolute pressure is the sum of atmospheric pressure (14.7 lbs/sq in) PLUS pressure within a vessel (as measured with a gage). Most pressure gages read in "gage pressure" or psig (pounds per square inch gage pressure).
Reflux (water) : Flow back. A sample is heated, evaporates, cools, condenses, and flows back to the flask.
