Osmosis (water) : The passage of a liquid from a weak solution to a more concentrated solution across a semipermeable membrane. The membrane allows the passage of the water (solvent) but not the dissolved solids (solutes). This process tends to equalize the conditions on either side of the membrane.
Hydraulic Grade Line (HGL) (water) : The surface or profile of water flowing in an open channel or a pipe flowing partially full. If a pipe is under pressure, the hydraulic grade line is at the level water would rise to in a small vertical tube connected to the pipe. Also see ENERGY GRADE LINE.

Kerpiç: Balçıktan yapılan ve kalıplanarak güneşte kurutulan çiğ tuğla. Kerpiç içinde bitki artıkları , olmayan çok killi toprağın, içine katılan saman sapları ve başka gereçlerle stabilize edilip suyla karıldıktan sonra kalıplara dökülüp önce gölgede sonra güneşte kurutulmasıyla elde edilir.
