Flushing (water) : A method used to clean water distribution lines. Hydrants are opened and water with a high velocity flows throughthe pipes, removes deposits from the pipes, and flows out the hydrants.
Microscreen (water) : A device with a fabric straining media with openings usually between 20 and 60 microns. The fabric is wrapped around the outside of a rotating drum. Wastewater enters the open end of the drum and flows out through the rotating screen cloth. At the highest point of the drum, the collected solids are backwashed by highpressure water jets into a trough located within the drum.
