Weir Loading (water) : A guideline used to determine the length of weir needed on settling tanks and clarifiers in treatment plants. Used by operators to determine if weirs are hydraulically (flow) overloaded.
Adsorbent (water) : The material (activated carbon) that is responsible for removing the undesirable substance in the adsorption process.
