Lateral Sewer (water) : A sewer that discharges into a branch or other sewer and has no other common sewer tributary to it. Sometimes called a "street sewer" because it collects wastewater from individual homes.
ENERGY GRADE LINE (EGL) (water) : A line that represents the elevation of energy head (in feet) of water flowing in a pipe, conduit or channel. The line is drawn above the hydraulic grade line (gradient) a distance equal to the velocity head (V2/2g) of the water flowing at each section or point along the pipe or channel. APARTMAN : 1. Bir bina içinde birkaç odadan meydana gelen, bir kişi veya bir ailenin oturabileceği büyüklükte daire. 2. Böyle dairelere bölünmüş bina.
Yönlendirme: Bir binanın yada yolun, güneşin yükselişine göre planlanması. Binaların yönlendirilmesi bakımından kuzey yarıkürede güney, güney yarıkürede ise kuzey en elverişli yönlerdir.
