Retention (water) : ΠThat part of the precipitation falling on a drainage area which does not escape as surface stream flow during a given period. It is the difference between total precipitation and total runoff during the period, and represents evaporation, transpiration, subsurface leakage, infiltration, and, when short periods are considered, temporary surface or underground storage on the area. The delay or holding of the flow of water and watercarried wastes in a pipe system. This can be due to a restriction in the pipe, a stoppage or a dip. Also, the time water is held or stored in a basin or wet well. This is also called DETENTION.
Control Loop (water) : The path through the control system between the sensor, which measures a process variable, and the controller, which controls or adjusts the process variable.
KÜBİK : 1. Küp şeklinde olan. 2. Kübizm akımına uygun olarak yapılmış olan.
Bağ kirişi: Düşey yüklemeye karşı çalışmayıp çekmeye çalışan ve elamanları konstrüktif olarak bağlayan betonarme kiriş. Bağ kirişi uzun nervürlü döşemelerde ve temellerde olur. Temellerde kullanılan bağ kirişlerine deprem (yada zelzele) kirişi adı da verilir.
