Parshall Flume (water) : A device used to measure the flow in an open channel. The flume narrows to a throat of fixed dimensions and then expands again. The rate of flow can be calculated by measuring the difference in head (pressure) before and at the throat of the flume.
Rubble, Coursed (const) : Masonry composed of roughly shaped stones fitting approximately on level beds, well bonded and brought at vertical intervals to continuous level beds of courses.
