Feeboard (water) : ΠThe vertical distance from the normal water surface to the top of the confining wall. The vertical distance from the sand surface to the underside of a trough in a sand filter. This distance is also called AVAILABLE EXPANSION.
Conductance (water) : A rapid method of estimating the dissolved solids content of a water supply. The measurement indicates the capacity of a sample of water to carry an electric current, which is related to the concentration of ionized substances in the water. Also called SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE.
BARBAKAN : İstinat duvarları arkasında toplanan suların dışarıya atılması için bırakılan deliklere denilir. Tabii zeminden 10 cm yukarıda tertiplenirler yatay ve düşeyde 3'er metre arayla şaşırtmalı biçimde yerleştirilirler.
Montaj Demiri: Statik bakımından gerekmediği halde, konstrüktif olarak, öteki demirleri tutturmak için kullanılan beton çeliği.
