Sacrificial Anode (water) : An easily corroded material deliberately installed in a pipe or tank. The intent of such an installation is to give up (sacrifice) this anode to corrosion while the water supply facilities remain relatively corrosion free.
Vector (water) : An insect or other organism capable of transmitting germs or other agents of disease.
