Mean Cell Residence Time (MCRT) (water) : An expression of the average time that a microorganism will spend in the activated sludge process. MCRT, days = Total Suspended Solids in Activated Sludge Process, lbs/Total Suspended Solids Removed From Process, lbs/day
Gage (water) : A device for checking or measuring a particular dimension of something, using specific standardized units. For example, a gage might measure the elevation of a water surface, the velocity of flowing water, the pressure of water, the amount or intensity of precipitation, and the depth of snowfall. Gages also are used to determine the location or position of equipment during installation and after operation.
