Turbidity (water) : The cloudy appearance of water caused by the presence of suspended and colloidal matter. In the waterworks field, a turbidity measurement is used to indicate the clarity of water. Technically, turbidity is an optical property of the water based on the amount of light reflected by suspended particles. Turbidity cannot be directly equated to suspended solids because white particles reflect more light than darkcolored particles and many small particles will reflect more light than an equivalent large particle.
MPN (water) : MPN is the Most Probable Number of coliformgroup organisms per unit volume of sample water. Expressed as a density or population of organisms per 100 mL of sample water.
KONİK : 1. Koni biçiminde veya koni ile ilgili olan. 2. Tabanı daire şeklinde olan bir koninin bir düzlemle kesilmesinden elde edilen türlü kesit eğrilerine verilen ortak ad.
Kolon: Uzunluğu doğrultusuna paralel kuvvetlerin etkisi altındaki çubuk,sütun. Kolonlar,kiriş yada döşemelerden gelen etkileri öteki kolonlara veya temellere aktaran genellikle düşey taşıyıcı öğelerdir.
