Influent (water) : Water or other liquid - raw (untreated) or partially treated - flowing INTO a reservoir, basin, treatment process, or treatment plant.
Backflow (water) : A reverse flow condition, created by a difference in water pressures, which causes water to flow back into the distribution pipes of a potable water supply from any source or sources other than an intended source. Also see BACKSIPHONAGE.
BARBAKAN : İstinat duvarları arkasında toplanan suların dışarıya atılması için bırakılan deliklere denilir. Tabii zeminden 10 cm yukarıda tertiplenirler yatay ve düşeyde 3'er metre arayla şaşırtmalı biçimde yerleştirilirler.
