pH Test Paper (water) : A strip of paper which is treated with several dyes that change color at narrow and different pH ranges. To determine the pH of a solution, place a drop of the solution on the test paper. Then compare the color that develops with the colors on a chart which relates color to pH. Also see LITMUS PAPER.
Chromium (water) : A hard, brittle metallic element often used in metal alloys and as a corrosionresistant surface coating for metal parts. Chromium is an especially toxic metal, with hexavalent chromium being appreciably more toxic than trivalent chromium.
