Well Log (water) : A record of the thickness and characteristics of the soil, rock and waterbearing formations encountered during the drilling (sinking) of a well.
Supernatant (water) : Liquid removed from settled sludge. Supernatant commonly refers to the liquid between the sludge on the bottom and the scum on the water surface of a basin or container.
