Conductor (water) : ΠA substance, body, device or wire that readily conducts or carries electric current. A pipe which carries a liquid load from one point to another point. In a wastewater collection system, a conductor is often a large pipe with no service connections. Also called a CONDUIT, interceptor (see INTERCEPTING SEWER) or INTERCONNECTOR. 3) In plumbing, a line conducting water from the roof to the storm drain or other means of disposal. Also called a DOWNSPOUT. 4) In electricity, a substance, body, device or wire that readily conducts or carries electric current.
Toxaphene (water) : A chemical that causes adverse health effects in domestic water supplies and also is toxic to freshwater and marine aquatic life.
