Air Binding (water) : The clogging of a filter, pipe or pump due to the presence of air released from water. Air entering the filter media is harmful to both the filtration and backwash processes. Air can prevent the passage of water during the filtration process and can cause the loss of filter media during the backwash process.
Step-Feed Aeration (water) : Stepfeed aeration is a modification of the conventional activated sludge process. In step aeration, primary effluent enters the aeration tank at several points along the length of the tank, rather than all of the primary effluent entering at the beginning or head of the tank and flowing through the entire tank in a plug flow mode.
BİNGİ (küresel bingi) : 1. Sivri tonoz kaburgalarının arasını dolduran küresel üçgen parçalardan her biri. 2. Bir kubbeyi taşıyan kemerlerin arasında yer alan ve kare plandan yuvarlak plana geçişi sağlayan küresel üçgen, pandantif.
Sağrı: Çatılarda mahyalarla dereler arasında kalan üçgen ya da yamuk, eğik düzeylere verilen ad.
