Hydrostatic System (water) : In a hydrostatic sludge removal system, the surface of the water in the clarifier is higher than the surface of the water in the sludge well or hopper. This difference in pressure head forces sludge from the bottom of the clarifier to flow through pipes to the sludge well or hopper.
Saturation (water) : The condition of a liquid (water) when it has taken into solution the maximum possible quantity of a given substance at a given temperature and pressure.
Sıcak Karışım Asfalt Kaplama : Kaba ve ince agreganın bitümlü bağlayıcılarla ( asfaltla ) özel asfalt hazırlama tesisinde karıştırılarak hazırlanıp, sıcak olarak uygulanmasına denir. Kalitelidir ve yoğun trafikte olan yollar da uygulanır.
Stabilize yol: Yüzeyine kum, çakal, az miktarda kil karışım serilip sıkıştırılarak yapılan yol.
