Step-Feed Aeration (water) : Stepfeed aeration is a modification of the conventional activated sludge process. In step aeration, primary effluent enters the aeration tank at several points along the length of the tank, rather than all of the primary effluent entering at the beginning or head of the tank and flowing through the entire tank in a plug flow mode.
Wastewater Collection System (water) : The pipe system for collecting and carrying water and watercarried wastes from domestic and industrial sources to a wastewater treatment plant.
