Physical Wastewater Process (water) : Physical waste treatment processes include use of racks, screens, comminutors, clarifiers (sedimentation and flotation) and filtration. Chemical or biological reactions are important treatment processes, but NOT part of a physical treatment process.
Surcharge Manhole (water) : A manhole in which the rate of the water entering is greater than the capacity of the outlet under gravity flow conditions. When the water in the manhole rises above the top of the outlet pipe, the manhole is said to be "surcharged."

Kafes kiriş: Açıklık büyüdükçe kirişlerin yüksekliği artar; buna karşılık kirişin içini yer yer boşaltmak mümkündür. Boşaltma sonucunda kiriş, çekme ve basınç çubuklarından ibaret hale gelebilir. Böyle basınç ve çekme çubuklarından yapıla kirişlere kafes kiriş denir.
