Oxidized Organics (water) : Organic materials that have been broken down in a biological process. Examples of these materials are carbohydrates and proteins that are broken down to simple sugars.
Venturi Meter (water) : A flow measuring device placed in a pipe. The device consists of a tube whose diameter gradually decreases to a throat and then gradually expands to the diameter of the pipe. The flow is determined on the basis of the difference in pressure (caused by different velocity heads) between the entrance and throat of the Venturi meter.
BARBAKAN : İstinat duvarları arkasında toplanan suların dışarıya atılması için bırakılan deliklere denilir. Tabii zeminden 10 cm yukarıda tertiplenirler yatay ve düşeyde 3'er metre arayla şaşırtmalı biçimde yerleştirilirler.
Kalkan duvar: Beşik çatı ile örtülü bir yapının mahyaya dik gelen duvarındaki üçgen bölüm.
