Tread (const) : Horizontal face of a step. Its width usually is taken as the horizontal distance between risers.
Fluidized (water) : A mass of solid particles that is made to flow like a liquid by injection of water or gas is said to have been fluidized. In water treatment, a bed of filter media is fluidized by backwashing water through the filter.
