Pre-Aeration (water) : The addition of air at the initial stages of treatment to freshen the wastewater, remove gases, add oxygen, promote flotation of grease, and aid coagulation.
Emulsion (water) : A liquid mixture of two or more liquid substances not normally dissolved in one another; one liquid is held in suspension in the other.
