Datum Line (water) : A line from which heights and depths are calculated or measured. Also called a datum plane or a datum level.
Sacrificial Anode (water) : An easily corroded material deliberately installed in a pipe or tank. The intent of such an installation is to give up (sacrifice) this anode to corrosion while the water supply facilities remain relatively corrosion free.
