Upper Flamable Limit (water) : The point at which the concentration of a gas in air becomes too great to sustain a flame upon ignition due to insufficient oxygen present.
Langelier Index (L.I.) (water) : An index reflecting the equilibrium pH of a water with respect to calcium and alkalinity. This index is used in stabilizing water to control both corrosion and the deposition of scale. Langelier Index = pH – pHs, where: pH = actual pH of the water, and pHs = pH at which water having the same alkalinity and calcium content is just saturated with calcium carbonate.

Süpürgelik: Yapılan duvarların döşeme ile birleştiği yerlere boydan boya yerleştirilen 5-8 cm yüksekliğinde ahşap, taş, maden veya plastik şerit; sıva dibi. Süpürgelik birleşme çizgisini örttüğü gibi, duvarın alt bölümlerinde boya yada badananın kirlenmesini önler.
