Acid Regression Stage (water) : A time period when the production of volatile acids is reduced during anaerobic digestion. During this stage of digestion ammonia compounds form and cause the pH to increase.
Anaerobic Selector (water) : Anaerobic refers to the practical absence of dissolved and chemically bound oxygen. Selector refers to a reactor or basin and environmental conditions (food, lack of DO) intended to favor the growth of certain organisms over others. Also see SELECTOR.
