Surcharge Manhole (water) : A manhole in which the rate of the water entering is greater than the capacity of the outlet under gravity flow conditions. When the water in the manhole rises above the top of the outlet pipe, the manhole is said to be "surcharged."
Lipophilic (water) : Having a strong affinity for fats. Compounds that dissolve in fats, oils and greases.
SU KEMERİ : İlk kez eski Romalılarca uygulanmış olan, üzerinde su yolu bulunan, tuğla veya taştan yapılmış kemerli köprü.
Aderans: Yapı öğelerinin, çimento yada tutkal gibi kimyasal yada mekanik bağlayıcı bir bağlayıcı ile birbirine yapışması. Yapıda ahşap parçalar tutkalla;tuğlalar, taşlar harçla; betonarme çeliği de çimento ile olan aderansı dolaysıyla betona bağlanır.
