Day Tank (water) : A tank used to store a chemical solution of known concentration for feed to a chemical feeder. A day tank usually stores sufficient chemical solution to properly treat the water being treated for at least one day. Also called an AGE TANK.
Hallow Wall (const) : A wall of masonry so arranged as to provide an air space within the wall between the inner and outer wythes. A cavity wall is built of masonry units or plain concrete, or a combination of these materials, arranged to provide an air space within the wall, which may be filled with insulation, and in which inner and outer wythes are tied together with metal ties.
