Mixed Liquor (water) : When the activated sludge in an aeration tank is mixed with primary effluent or the raw wastewater and return sludge, this mixture is then referred to as mixed liquor as long as it is in the aeration tank. Mixed liquor also may refer to the contents of mixed aerobic or anaerobic digesters.
Stabilization (water) : Conversion to a form that resists change. Organic material is stabilized by bacteria which convert the material to gases and other relatively inert substances. Stabilized organic material generally will not give off obnoxious odors.

Kireç taşı: Kireç yapmakta kullanılan, içinde %90’ın üzerinde CaCO3 bulunan taş. Yapıda kullanılacak kireç taşı yağlı, taze ve kıvamında pişmiş olmalı, içinde toprak,kum,çakıl vb. yabancı maddeler ve fazla pişirilmiş parçalar bulunmamalıdır; rengi genellikle beyaz olmalıdır.
