Surfaced Void (water) : A dip or depression in the ground that appears when silting has taken place to a degree that a void is caused in the subsoil. Through successive caveins, the void reaches the surface of the ground.
Head (water) : The vertical distance (in feet) equal to the pressure (in psi) at a specific point. The pressure head is equal to the pressure in psi times 2.31 ft/psi.
ESKALASYON : Yüksek enflasyon nedeniyle girdi fiyatlarında görülen hızlı artışların sabit birim fiyatlarla ihalenin gerçekleştirilmesini engellediği için başvurulan bir yol. Eskalasyon fiyat farkı anlamında kullanılmaktadır.
Keson: Sualtı veya sulu zemin yapılarında temel yapmak üzere suyun dibine indirilen büyük, ahşap veya saç kasa,sandık. Bu yolla yapılan temellere keson temel yada sandık temel denir.
